Now that our last blog post has established what “Attraction” is within the context of inbound marketing and why it is an important facet of the inbound marketing flywheel, let us give some practical resources for you to get started with your company.

As inbound marketing grows in popularity, attracting your target audience can take place in many ways. However, we know inbound marketing, and marketing, in general, is ever-evolving and always changing. So, what are the most effective methods of attracting your audience right now, in 2022? To make it easier on you, we have compiled a list of the 5 current trends on the rise this year, and why we think you should implement them in your business to attract your target audience. All these methods would be great options for kick-starting growth in the flywheel of your business.


1. Original Content

The first current trend we see on the rise is the production of original content. ECMetrics.com states that “having a constant and significant presence in the digital channels, and approaching the intended audience to build an effective communication with [the audience].” The aim of utilizing multiple channels with consistent, original content is to attract customers to know the brand organically, rather than through paid advertisements.




2. Email Marketing

Research is projecting that email marketing will be one of the optimal channels of driving engagement with your target audience. By sharing the information directly to their inbox on a regular basis, customers learn more directly from the brand itself who you are and what value you offer them. When first attracting a customer, this process looks like offering an incentive to win their subscription to your email list. The most common practice is offering a discount on their first purchase. This is particularly valuable within emailing since it is a personal and direct line of communication to individuals.



3. Customer Reviews at the forefront

Because word of mouth is one of the most powerful forms of effective marketing, this year we see the rising trend of customer reviews and testimonials being on the front sections of websites. Now, we understand that reviews are not quite the same as hearing feedback face-to-face and reading handwritten thoughts. Previously satisfied customers who love your products and/or services are the most effective form of attracting new customers. By sharing their experience with your business, they communicate trust and reliability in not only the product but in the company.





4. Forms are Out.

When customers view the organic or paid advertisement you have put out, there are few things more frustrating to acquire the published experts’ opinions than being greeted by a form waiting to be filled out. Although it is a minor inconvenience, small disruptions like this can be what makes or breaks the initial attraction from the full focus. Using AI like ManyChat, people and organizations are now using personalized massages from artificial intelligence, or a quiz that gives both the busyness of customers’ lives a more broken up and doable process instead.


5. Machine Learning & Personalization

One of the most beneficial developments in the past few years of artificial intelligence coming onto the scene has been the ability of various programs and software to collect information. This is based on the customer’s activity and alters what is presented to the customer based on previous interactions. This means that when specifically attracting your audience, you can offer a new level of customer service from the very first interaction. Attracting through inbound marketing now cultivates an online experience that has the power to feel akin to face-to-face interaction.
